colors and fonts too busy, too distracting
I agree with CherlyMillerBlack who on Mar 6th mentioned the new Source linker screen as being "too much" (too bright, distracting, etc).
There was a response with a link to follow the progress on "Source Linker Known issues" but I'm lacking the required permissions to follow that link. When I go to the labeled area for Known Issues, I don't see anything addressing this issue.
For me, the new screen causes significant eye strain and a sensation that borders on vertigo (with accompanying disorientation and confusion) and I'm not physically able to work with it for more than a few moments. I do have short term memory issues and my mental facilities are in decline, so that could be factoring in. But the colors, font sizes (and maybe the borders -- meaning the boxes defining areas?), and general 'busy-ness' of the screen is a significant accessibility problem for me. I feel rather distressed to realize that I won't be able to do any useful amount of source linking once this is fully implemented. No, actually I feel quite distressed.
p.s. Is there a general idea of when the old linker will be gone? I mean, is it imminent? Thanks.

If you are visually impaired the color codings, to my 20/20 vison, are not bright enough. I feel, for those of us who have been blessed with full vison, we can get use to color coding. For those who are visually impaired these aids are essential

I wonder if the answer is a color 'theme' that we can choose, based on our own preference.
There are so many different types of impairment though. To some, bright or 'clashing' colors trigger neurological issues (which is my problem); others apparently derive benefit from the bright colors with a better ability to read the text (if I'm understanding Pamela correctly).
I have a perfect ignorance on what might be involved in providing a choice though.

@PamelaCarter2 thank you for your feedback on color. As @vjdavis pointed out, there is a fine line on how we apply color. For some, certain colors are difficult to see than other colors. For some, certain colors cause sensitivity issues which make it difficult to view (some of those issues include eye strain, poor contrast, and in rare cases, they can cause vertigo). We are currently working on some new color changes for buttons and attachments. We'd love to get your feedback on these new concepts. Here is a link to that discussion post:
