Ability to add grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and their children to tree is confusing.
Appears to go back to old way of inviting person to a group. Should be clear as when adding children. Not sure if duplicate records are created since most of these people are living. Deceased children, parents, or sibling automatically added to tree. but their living relatives are not. We need to make it easy for upcoming generations to have access to the work of their predecessors and not discourage their participation in Family Search by making it difficult or confusing for them to have access to already entered Family Search data.

@Richard Wilson1 I'm not quite sure what you are saying here. You mention duplicate records and the process of copying from your private list clearly says 'COPY', but then you bring up people added 'automatically' to the tree. In the SELECT PEOPLE process, you can click on say, your grandson's wife and the system will automatically select all the individuals needed to connect the selected person to you. So in the case of your grandson's wife, the system would automatically select your grandson and your son, as well as you. All these selected people show up in the right-hand sidebar.
I'm not sure how this process affects your descendants and their ability to access the memories and information shared through the Family Group Tree. Can you clarify?

When I log into FS and select a profile. I find a private profile and a group profile which when selected has a off yellow label of Experimental...
Until this morning, I had about a 105 page listing of members of my tree which would show duplicate living people. Several members of the family had added these same people. On the experimental list I was able to merge these people. I have invited my 7 children to the group so have many duplicate profiles.
When I first selected people for the experimental version, I just had to check a list of names from a dropdown menu but later invitees required an old cut and paste invitation. This is a cumbersome method. You mention the example of my son and his wife. I invited my son but not his wife. In my new tree his wife does not appear unless I click on my son's pic and the attach her to him. My son cannot see his invitation. I can add memories to his profile but he cannot see them on his profile but I can see them on his profile. Both my son and i are highly experienced software professionals and would be happy to discuss user friendliness issues with you.

@Richard Wilson1 You have mentioned invitations. Currently only the Website and the iOS app can use the new Family Group Trees. If you send an invitation through the Android app, they work as the original Family Group invitations did.
That said, we have made changes to the processes for invitations and for copying individuals into your Family Group Tree. Does it work better now?

I hope that you are enjoying the new process of invitations. Note that a recent update has changed the Group Details page and now administrators can see new requests to join on the main Group Details page.
