I am trying to trace John Frederick Lund back to Sweden. The first time he is found in records is his marriage in 1845 in Texas. I believe he was born in about 1815 in Sweden, but have been unable to locate records for A John Frederick Lund.

Are there immigration records before 1845? If so where would I look?

I have tried searching for Johan, Jöns and Jan.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
