Based on this wedding record do you know if Adam was a widower ?

Could you it be related to a possible wedding concerning Adam SZCZYGIEL with Honorata SLAWEK around 1885 at Grobla/Miklszowice having a son Tomasz married in 1905 and probably born at that time.

This Adam Szczygiel, 29 years old, is marked as a bachelor, (marked 1 after age of 29, and written “caelebs” = single, unmarried, after Szczygiel surname). If he were a widower, “1” would have be marked in the last column.
