Requesting Translation Assistance
Hello,
Can someone assist me in the possible identification of a village listed in the marriage record for Jan Kostelecky on 18 September. It may or may not be a village that is listed, possibly starting with Sv or Sw. I don't seem to be able to locate any such village on a map.
Thank you and have a good day.
Sincerely,
Stephen

There are several candidates. It could be Světlá nad Sázavou city.

I found another possible location for Jan Kostelecky. It looks like Mlinar, but I cannot find such a location other than a bakery in Croatia.
Before I begin searching the Eastern Bohemia books for Světlá nad Sázavou records, which would be a first for me, I want to narrow the options.
Thank you again.

Mlinar is miller (occupation), not location

If this is your ancestor, then good luck. Millers were moving long distances and married almost exclusively the daughters of other millers.

East Bohemia records are online here https://aron.vychodoceskearchivy.cz/
The list of books is nicely listed in this PDF aid: https://aron.vychodoceskearchivy.cz/apu/fffd3232-0fec-4dbf-80d3-12e461a5ed5c
Btw, browsing pages in Aron is slow. I rather download the whole book as a ZIP file and then browse it quickly locally.

Thank you for the information and for the tips. I was browsing the books a bit yesterday to acquaint myself with the format.
I believe that he is my direct ancestor - my 5th great grandfather. I found his marriage record to Petronila Janiho in the Červená Řečice books from the year 1798. I am now looking for his birth record around the year 1776.

How does one download the entire book? I can only figure out how to download one page at a time.

When browsing the specific book, there is "Stáhnout všechny snímky" link in the right panel just below the Create citation button.
