birth certificate
i found a birth certificate while doing research. when i went to the index next to the file number for the person i was looking for there was file number followed by an sp. do you know what the sp meant? im still translating certificate but wondering if the sp means there could be a supplement or what it might mean as i have never seen an sp next to a file number in a birth index. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

@FosterWest It would be good to look at the record. Could you provide the Person ID for the Certificate?

SP usually means seconda parte - the "unusual" long form records at the end of the volume.

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua4276106/5BObVvE. That is the file im talking about the name is giuseppe lunanova and the file is on pg 569 and 570. I looked through the beginning part of the book and see it does use the shorter forms so it appears the sp does mean the longer form as you mentioned. Thank you for the help.

It's a transcription of a foreign birth in Port Said, Egypt. The Italian consulate sent it back to Molfetta to be transcribed into the records there for citizenship purposes.
