Marriage Record No 5, Przewrotne Parish, dated the 19th November 1837, of Franciscus (Franciszek in Polish) Bielen, House No 141, a Catholic, 27 years old bachelor, a legitimate son of Andreas (Andrzej) Bielen, a farmer, and of deceased Agnes (Agnieszka), born Chmiel, and of a maiden, Marianna Cudzionka (Cudo), 20 years old, a legitimate daughter of Adalbertus (Wojciech) Cudo, a farmer from Widelka, and of Eve (Ewa) Weglowski. Witnesses: Thomas (Tomasz) Jawil and Valentinus (Walenty) Guzek, residents of Widelka. Note in Polish: I give permission for marriage of my daughter, Wojciech Cudo, the father.

I noticed that many of the people from Widelka and other near by towns would go to Przewrotne to get married. Is there a reason for this? Such as a Church or place for marriages?
