Translation Request - Tomasz Smyski - Geneteka translation
Maria, thank you for your help with the marriage record. This is related to that family line.
Please help with translation of what it says about Maryanna Dziubionka within the remarks for Tomasz Smyrski's marriage listing by clicking on the 1st icon? I tried to write it down and then translate it, and I think it states that Marianna is a widower? She is within this family line and I am trying to figure out if Tomasz was married 2x and who was his first spouse. I appreciate it, thank you. Mattie
Here is the listing and the link-

Marriage Record No. 7, Kolbuszowa Parish, Kupno, dated the 14th May 1861, of Thomas (Tomasz in Polish) Smyrski, House No. 276, a Catholic, 35 years old, widower after death of Maria, born Dziuba, he is a legitimate son of Carolus (Karol) Smyrski and of Sophia, born Gniewkowna (daughter of Gniewek), he is from Widelka, and of a maiden Thecla (Tekla) Bialek, a Catholic, 21 years old, legitimate daughter of Michael Bialek and Agnes (Agnieszka) Niezgodzianka (daughter of Niezgoda). Witnesses: Jacobus (Jakub) Brudz, and Josephus (Jozef) Fryzel, farmers.
Mattie, I am not sure where you found this marriage record, but in the copy of the one above which I translated, there is no House Number of the bride, or Kupno village associated with the groom.
You may compare the surnames in herby.com.pl/indexslo.html and you will not find there Gniewkowna (Rz= Rzeszow, Podkarpackie) or Niezgodzianka, but there are many Gniewek and Niezgoda in Rz = Rzeszow, Podkarpackie area. It was common at those times to use diminutives or terms of endearment for some females, e.g. as in English Smithy for son of Smith.

Dear Maria,
I am so grateful for your help with this. All I could find is (but pls excuse I poor translation skills):
Witnesses: Jakub Brudz & Jozef Fryzel
disconnected: age 35, house no. 276, widower Maryanna Dziubionka [Ona]?
age 21, house no. 124
place-Kupno
So you can see how helpful your translation is. I received a genealogy from a member of the Smyrski family, who has since passed away. It has no supporting documents but sometimes includes house numbers. I am trying to provide primary sources where I can find them.
Thank you so very much. This is a tremendous help.
Every good wish, Mattie

Dear Maria,
Thank you very much. This is a tremendous help.
What is the way I can get a copy of the Microfilm: Micr. 008016450 Image 370 of 519?
Or is it enough as a reference to use "Micr. 008016450 Image 370 of 519"?
Should I be using the abbreviated forms of these names such as "Dziuba" instead of "Dziubionka"?
Thanks so much, I appreciate it, Mattie

Mattie, the record which you translated is even more complete than the one I accessed in Family Search Library in Salt Lake City. Due to restrictions by the archives which made those records available only in Family Search Library in Salt Lake City, this is the only way you could access it. You can be satisfied with the record which you obtained in some other way.
