Determining date of arrival from a range 1906-1942 Passenger Lists?
In seeking the arrival date for my Ancestor Wladyslaw Krok, I have a supporting document but the dates are a range. How do I determine which date he arrived in New York?
Thank you for any insights or resources to help me determine the date of arrival.

The book indexes are extracted from the passenger lists. It's best to find the passenger list image (most are also online). The date of arrival is generally only on the first page of a manifest, so you may need to page back a few images from the one containing your ancestor's arrival.

And from FamilySearch, there appear to be at least 2 arrivals for Wladyslaw Krok - 2 different men, born in different years. That's why it's essential to view the full record, to be sure we have the correct person.

There are others. In most cases, after 1906, the record will include the name of a person in the home country and a contact name in the USA. That can help you determine which record is yours.
