Help with research for Rino de Sonico in Brescia
Hi,
Reaching out for any help or suggestions of how to find birth records for the hamlet of Rino which is a frazione of Sonico in Brescia.
I have tried writing to the Chiesa de San Lorenzo, as advised by the municipality office of Sonico. I have had no response to my 3 emails.
I am travelling to Italy in a month and am trying to verify my great grandfather Domenico Ruggeri was born there in 1858.
I have done extenstive searches online on Family Search, Ancestry etc. I can find no records of his arrival in Australia, however his marriage and death certificates reference coming from this area.
Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Churches are under no obligation to respond to inquiries, and their records are not public (and not online in most cases). You would best be served by trying to send either a snail mail letter and/or make a phone call to the church, or even better, finding a local researcher who can contact the church on your behalf. Then arrange an appointment in advance of your visit (i.e, don't just show up).
