10 May 1882, Corleto Perticara - Pietro Viggiano, age 27, miller, declared that at 5:05 am on the 7th of the month at house #64 in Via Capolaterra, from his union with an unmarried woman, not related to him by blood or marriage within a degree that would prevent legal recognition of the child, was born a male given the name Domenico Maria.

Witnesses Pietro Sarconi, age 59, townsman, and Domenico Gerardi, age 43, servant.

Legitimizing the following children:

• Domenico Viggiano (born 7 May 1882)
• Donata Rocca (born 23 Jul 1887)
• Antonetta (born 22 Sep 1889)
• Vito Donato (born 12 May 1896)
• Pietro Paolo (born 30 May 1901)

Note that although they were not legally married until 1905, they may have been previously married in the church, but church marriages were not recognized for legal purposes in Italy between 1866 and 1929.
