Need assistance with locating an ancestor in Italy
Hello all:
I have traced my DiMarco ancestors back to Loreto DiMarco, born 1723 and died 2/16/1794, married to Giovanna DiDomenico. His death extract is found in the Church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo in Collecorvino. I have searched the portale antenati records and have been unable to find a birth record.
So far, I have been able to find 3 children born of this union:
Natale DiMarco born 1752, died 1/15/1831;
Pasquale DiMarco born 1760, died 1/31/1829;
Domenicantonio DiMarco born 1753 or 1769, died 9/24/1817. They would all have resided, been born and died in Collecorvino, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy
I have been unable to find any other information on Loreto DiMarco or his wife Giovanna DiDomenico (no date of birth or death on her yet). What I've been able to find was starting in about 1806.
Can anyone assist me in uncovering more records?
Thank you so much!

Antenati in general only has civil records. Pre-1800 records are only found in the churches. The baptism records you seek must be obtained from the churches in Collecorvino, unless they happened to marry after 1809 in which case you might find a color of the baptism record in the marriage processetti.

Thank you. I do have an older cousin in Collecorvino and he was working that, going to the churches. Since he has an olive farm, he is restricted on his time.
Do you know if any of the church records are at least photographed and available on FamilySearch for manual searching online or would I have to go to a FamilySearch physical site to gain access?
I thought maybe someone here would be related and have found this information.
Thank you so much!

Not sure if you will have luck, but I recommend looking here: https://www.italianparishrecords.org/search-by-region/abruzzo/pescara/corvara
You may get lucky.

As far as I can tell, they have not been imaged and are not available anywhere except the church.
