Are there civil registration records starting in the early 1800's for Pergine Valsugana, Trento
I'm helping a friend research her ancestors in Pergine Valsugana, Trento. There are church records on familysearch for this place but there seems to be no civil registration records. Even though FS Wiki https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Trento,_Trentino-Alto_Adige/S%C3%BCdtirol,_Italy_Genealogy mentions: "Dates: In southern Italy, registering births, marriages, and deaths began in 1809 (1820 in Trentino-Alto Adige)" see "Accessing the Records" on the Wiki page for Trento province, I can't find civil records for Pergine Valsugana in FS catalog or the Antenati site.
Access to the church records for Pergine Valsugana is plentiful, in addition to those records, I want to know if there are civil records starting in the early 1800's for the same place?

Thank you, @Cousin Vinny for the info about the changes in governance over Trento, which explains why there are no early civil records. And the link for some online Trentino archives is helpful too.

I suspect that 1820 date in the wiki is a mistake (Trentino-Alto Adige is not in Southern Italy). Sicily began civil recordkeeping in 1820.
Trento and the surrounding area was part of the Austrian / Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1815-1918 and was annexed by Italy after WWI, at which time civil recordkeeping was established.
