FS portal
Is the portal working? It was last night when the center was were open. Came in this morning and none of the center computers have the portal. Tried to re install it but that did not work.

Same here. When I click on the extension puzzle piece I get this message:

Wow. I thought it was just an isolated thing. I tried to call support this evening but the hold time was so long and I left my phone number for a call back. But no one called. Has anyone gotten any response. We have three centers in the stake. I haven't heard if the other two have similar problems, but I know one was working on Wednesday when I was there. If ya'll are having similar problems I'll check with the other two. I'll keep watching here. We are in the Deland, FL stake.

Came here looking for the same problem - on Saturday the 9th.

Has anyone who has access tried calling the Help Phone Line for Centers? That would have to be the Director (or current terminology) of an FSC.

We're having the same problem - Sunday the 10th

The other FSC director in my stake said she got tech help for this yesterday, and the fix is to type family search.org/cookies into each computer's browser. She was told that FS/the Church pushed something out that caused this problem. My center's computers have the same issue; I haven't tried the fix yet.

Thanks @DanaChou I'll give that a try tomorrow although I clear FS Cookies regularly already.

Thanks - I will try the cookies thing... First some of our computers lost the portal on Thursday night - Now all have lost it and when we try to reload the extension it says we are in South America... which we are not... so glad to know it is not just us. We also tried to contact tech support today but the wait time was too long for me between meetings and more meetings - We did clear cookies and history, but didn't seem to see an improvement - I will try again on Monday and will watch this space for more info, hopefully...

Already tried clearing the cookies. Still no portal

Just opened up our center on Monday, September 11 in Columbia, Maryland, USA. No portal on any of our computers on any browser. Clearing cookies has no effect.

Agree that clearing the cookies has no effect; I just tried it. I experienced this on Thursday, Sept. 7 so called the Help number. I was told that the portal is down everywhere East of the Mississippi and that they're working on getting it back up but they had no estimate as to when it would be restored. It was also down on Friday when I came in to check. I was not here to check on the weekend but as of 9:40 EDT the portal is still down.
I've seen responses from the Techs on this forum in the past, so hopefully, a Tech is monitoring the situation; could we get an update on this? Is there any guesstimate as to when the Portal will be restored? Or, has it been restored and we have to do something to restore to each individual PC? Any help is appreciated!!

We had half of our computers loose the portal on Thursday evening and the rest didn't have it when I checked on Saturday and Sunday. West of the Mississippi - Tacoma Washington. Looking for tech help today?

We have 4 computers in New Bern NC with the same issues. Resetting the cookies did not help.
I tried to re-boot after resetting the cookies and that did not help either.

@Ken Richins - NAO Tech Support Lead Any suggestions? Thanks.

Additional information: I also happen to be a new Stake Technology Specialist so I looked at the Ports Configuration for our network and none of the Family Search Center computer ports are configured as "Special" any longer. Special is also not a choice in the dropdown.
Just got a callback from FamilySearch Support. They had to "flip a switch" for my center. Nothing I can do on my end. Everybody's gonna hafta call :(

@Kyle G. Echols There is an earlier thread about the Special Purpose Zone, if that is what you mean. https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/150026/special-purpose-zone-removal#latest

I'm in Illinois with 10 computers. You can access also the premium sites from the portal's wiki site: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/FamilySearch_Center_Portal but choosing any of the sites from there does the same thing and takes you to a page that requires a log in. I contacted Tech Support on Thur Sept 7. It was a fairly new issue then and I was told the IT engineers were working feverishly on it; no ETA. As of Mon Sept 11, still no access to premium sites. Too bad because patrons use Ancestry, ArkivDigitial, etc., in conjunction with FamilySearch.

I just received a phone call from a member who has lost her LDS access to FamilySearch at home and can no longer view her Temple tab and Ordinance tabs. I just checked my FamilySearch account and I'm seeing the same - it's like I am a non-member. The member's husband can still see his LDS FamilySearch information. I told her to sit tight for the time being.

Rebecca Christensen - There is an online fix... Log off completely and log back in - was said in one of the Facebook help groups... It is not showing the LDS choice in the sign in the account settings... They said that totally logging off and logging back in will show the LDS choice under account settings. Good luck! I am now going to check mine as well!

Is there a reason that the FamilySearch directors are not emailed updated status of the portal in cases of these outages? It sure would save a lot of guessing on the directors' part and man hours on the phone lines.
Is the portal working today?

I'm in the FSC in Ocala, Florida and the portal is up and running. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in fixing this!

Yeah! The portal is up and running here in Tacoma Washington. We are happy and grateful!

Hunter Utah Community Center now has working portal websites. Thank you...

The portal is up and running in Illinois also (Sept 12). Thanks!

Checked Fort Wayne IN yesterday (Sep 13) - up and running. And, for the first time in many months, the portal functioned on Firefox in addition to Chrome.
Thanks.
