Are there Prisoner of War Records?

I have a death record for a young man who was from Pomerania, Prussia. The death was recorded in 1816, but occurred in March 1814. The record says he died in France as a Prisoner of War. France is pretty broad. Do you think that there are records that would record his death in France?

Thank you @agaudray ! His name was Martin Friedrich Zühlke, son of Michael Zühlke. He was from Soltin, Cammin, Pomerania, Prussia, born in about 1792/93. Died in March 1814 in captivity in France. His occupation is listed as Cavalleri Landwehrmann, translates roughly to horseman in the militia.
