Looking for a needle in a haystack for 35 years: 'Giuseppe' from Sardinia (Sardegna).
For ca. 35 years I am looking for my biological (b-)father/family. I met my b-mother three times in my life. The 3rd time was her funeral ... The only information she could/would give me about my b-father was: his name 'Giuseppe', he came from Sardinia and was a guest worker in Utrecht (Netherlands) in 1964. <-- period (that's all). After ca. 35 years and trying to find/extract information from all kinds of people, institutions, Italian communities, [you name it] I resigned myself to giving up.
Very recently a good friend finally convinced me to take an autosomal DNA test and promised she will do her uttermost best to help me finding my needle in a very big haystack. She has more experience with finding relatives (for others) and it's her hobby.
My DNA test reveals that half of my blood is indeed Sardinian. The other half is (North-)West European (my b-mothers side).
The status as of today is that she presumably narrowed down her research to the following last/family names: Meloni, Garau, Mura, Uras, Musu (or Musa), Milia, Deias and Lai.
So we are now looking for Giuseppes (carrying last names, see above) who were in 1964 around 20 years old, came/born from/in Sardinia, went to The Netherlands to work in Utrecht as guest workers.
I will appreciate it tremendously if anyone here is willing to help/assist us finding my needle in a big haystack. If you prefer I can bring you in direct contact with my friend (as she has all the available information up to date).

In this case, it would seem easier to work backwards. Where did he croak? Did he take Dutch nationality? Those data points would help you make your way to Sardinia.
Not too knowledgeable about those DNA tests, but I've heard you can add your data on various sites like Ancestry that connect you with other people somehow. Maybe that could open some doors. FYI, you made a duplicate of this thread.

@DangKwei Thanks for the response. Possibly the group moderator can remove my previous post? I thought I made a mistake while posting the previous one.
My friend told me she uploaded my data to several sites. However, she told me this did not result in additional information. As in, no information emerged that she didn't knew/found already.
Concerning croaking: that is exactly what I tried in the past and what is happening now (again) with the recently found possible last names. The problem is that when someone shouts 'Giuseppe' in Italy/Sardinia, around half the male population can raise his hand (!)
Unfortunately lots of Dutch files are destroyed. One reason is that these 60's Italian guest workers came into The Netherlands based on an agreement between The Netherlands & Italy. An ingredient of this agreement was that the Dutch employer was responsible for shelter/housing, and the gateway to (local) authorities. In many cases (like mine) the employer went bankrupt or was acquired by another company. The result: loss of staff administration.
