The lead Miners of the Maeshafn mines in Flint.

"Can anyone tell me if the miners where housed by the lead mine owner or did they have to rent there own home?". My 2 x G Grandfather was a miner in Maeshafn and i often wonder what his life was like as a Miner. I welcome any theories here and thank you.
