Question on baptism record
Good morning! I had a quick question on a baptism record for Pal Kudlacs born 1 Aug 1896. Under his mother's name, she is listed as Sninszki, Borbala v. Hreha, Karcsova. I'm wondering what the v. means; I know Karcsova is the village of origin but wondering what the connection between the surnames Sninszki and Hreha are. Thanks you!

The register appears to be filled out entirely in Hungarian, so "v." is likely short for vagy "or", i.e. I think it's saying the mother is Barbara Sninszki alias Hreha. (The placement of the data is somewhat odd, but it's a repurposed marriage register page to start with, so clearly there was some improvisation going on.)
As for why she had an extra surname, your guess is as good as mine. (Some places seem to be prone to them, dunno why.)

Thank you so much! Her name was listed as Hreha on some of her children's baptismal records and Sninszki on others, this was the only one that lists both names (giving me some proof they are the same individual)! I've had several female relatives that used different surnames at different times, my great-grandmother's birth surname was used when she married; however on some of her children's baptismal records her last name was listed differently. I came to find out her mother remarried and that was the second surname used on some of the records. Just another complication to figuring my family tree out! I so appreciate your help, this community has helped me immensely!
