Looking for birth certificate for great grandfather in Genova
Hi, would anyone be able to help me find my great grandfathers birth certificate, I can’t find any records online at all. His name is Tomasso Consigliere - DOB- 23/07/1894 born in Genova, Liguria. Also if any family members of him could be traced this would also be of so much help!

The first question that needs to be answered is: was he born in Genova (the town) or in Genova (the province)? The province of Genova contains many dozens of individual towns (including Genova itself), and each has its own separate registry of vital records that needs to be searched separately.
FamilySearch has a large collection of these records, but very few can be searched by entering a name in their search engine. For the vast majority, you have to visually look through the images of the record books. There are many annual indexes and 10-year indexes that are handwritten, so it's not an impossible task. It just takes a bit more work.
But knowing the exact town of birth is key. The 1886-1895 10-year birth index for the comune (town) of Genova contains a number of Consigliere entries, but no Tommaso: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89WL-T2TS?i=716&wc=MCR1-VWL%3A351039301%2C351496301%2C353567501&cc=2046914
So that leaves you with three (actually four) possibilities, assuming the surname is correct and not a similarly-spelled one:
- He wasn't born in 1894
- He wasn't born in the comune of Genova
- His given name at birth wasn't Tommaso
- A combination of these
