What if your kids don't want the family treasures that have been entrusted to you?
This is a problem faced by all too many family historians. Let's face it, everyone eventually dies. There is no guarantee that your children or grandchildren will care enough about genealogy and family heirlooms to make sure they are around to be enjoyed by future generations. Fortunately, there is an alternative that will (hopefully) preserve precious family artifacts for generations to come. It isn't perfect, but it beats having them end up in a landfill.

Interesting article. I do like the thought of uploading pictures and stories to Memories and making them public in FamilySearch so anyone researching my line can have access to them even if my children or grandchildren might not be interested or if I didn't have any children. Does anyone have other ideas on why to preserve these memories and artifacts?
