Postage to request certificates.
I am writing to the Sestri Levante commune to request birth and marriage certificates. I found information saying to include a -- affrancatura internazionale prepagata per poter inviare la risposta al richiedente -- how does one purchase one?
Help in this matter much appreciated. (Spain does not require postage payment so I have not dealt with this before).
Thank you.

If it's for the extracts, they don't charge for copies. The 'long form' copies aren't free, however. In your request, if you offer to pay for postage, it will be seen as a nice gesture, but not required. For Italian citizenship jus sanguinis, the extracts are fine.

Thank you. I requested long form via internet to three locations and have not received an acknowledgment or answer to the request. Will try calling them.

If you didn't include payment for them, I imagine they'd have ignored the request. Contact the anagrafe of the comune and get their IBAN. Then, if you have SEPA access somehow, you can pay for the certificates easily.
