Birth records of military families?
Did the British military record any of the births of children of families that were traveling with a regiment outside of England? One of my English ancestors is listed in a census as being born in Malta about 1801. I am not sure where to look for her birth record.

I have to say that I've never wholly understood the Army birth / baptism records and have no conviction about how good the coverage was.

There is also this record site as well. There is quite and extensive list of records, unfortunately they are not complete but I hope you find what you are looking for. My husband's aunt was born out there and his aunt's baby sister died whilst in Malta, so, it's of interest to me as well.
