Home & End Keys Not Working Now
When a field contains a fair bit of text it was always handy to have the Home & End functions working.
Not any more.
Any reason why ?? I have to use the arrows to scroll around. The New Person Page is an absolute SCROLL FEST all over the place.
If this needs to be directed at the techie staff, would be grateful if someone could advise how we contact them.
Cheers
Ann ;-)

The benefit of the particular group is the techie staff is watching.

Currently, the only open complaint of Home and End key not working is with the place and date fields.
Could you give me a little more detail?

"The Only Place " ??? Are these not the absolute fundamentals of genealogy.
Thank you for getting back to me to confirm that the date and place fields are an utter minefield to work with and it is being addressed, hopefully ;-( Why is FS getting the vanilla wrong ?? MMMMMMmm

So your saying there are no other places to report this problem?

I have only seen it with dates and places. I'm not sure I would use it anywhere else though.

For those who asked (in this post and another similar one) where we use Home and End keys for dates and places, here are some examples:
Often the birthdate field only has a year, possibly from a census record. Then you find a birth record or a findagrave record, and you have the exact date. You want to get to the start of the field to enter month and year.
Or maybe you have put "about" with a birth year, but then you find a more exact date and need to get rid of the "about."
The issue is the same when you only have a country for a place, and then you find the city name and need to put it at the beginning. I would much rather scroll down the standards picker dropdown list if necessary, than to not have the HOME and END for these other purposes.
We modify these fields ALL THE TIME and it is frustrating to have to tap those arrow keys multiple times when one click used to do the job.
