@Sharron Collier Good morning I tried to open the birth record to translate it for you but I couldn´t do it at home. They asked me to go to a Family Search Center in order to open it. If you can get a photo of the record, send it to me and I will translate it . Regards Graziela

25 Sep 1882 - Nunzia Chiaramida, 53, midwife, declared that at 2pm on the 24th at a house on Via Libertà, a woman who declined to be named gave birth to a male given the names Orazio Annibale Nunzio and the surname Fortunato.
Witnesses Salvatore Brancati, age 28, clerk, and Francesco Chindemi, age 24, clerk.
A woman named Francesca Curcio also appeared and requested to take custody of the child, promising in the presence of the witnesses to feed and care for it and be responsible to any future inquiry from the authorities; seeing no reason to deny the request, the town official gave her custody of the baby.
