Seaborn Rowland parentage

@brettrowland Looking at FS FamilyTree, Seaborn Rowland LY96-1G2 is linked to parents so I am assuming that you want to answer the question, "where is the proof?". First of all, it appears that the father in question, James Rowland, son of Hiram Rowland, was born in 1799 and married in 1824 to Emily Jackson, according to sources attached. This family is from Greene County, Georgia. There IS a James Roland (Let's call him James Roland #2) who according to this compiled record on Ancestry, married a Mildred Watson in 1807. This family was from Columbia County.
James Roland #1 could not be the father of Seaborn, given his age and marriage date. James Roland #2 could be the father but you will need to dig for evidence.
All of the censuses through 1880 support that Seaford was born in 1807-1808 in Georgia, so I would start with that assumption. Gather up all the things that you do know for sure and put them in a timeline. Find out when county boundaries changed and add that to your timeline. (A good source is mapofus.org.) Then think about records that might have the information you need and start digging. Use the FamilySearch Catalog to find records and FamilySearch Wiki county pages to help you know what records exist, especially since many counties in the south suffered record loss.
