On the 1950 census I found out for the first time that one of my father's brothers had a son. My uncle Edward Frank Witkowski 1911-1982 and his wife Margaret Varadi 1913-2001 had a son per the 1950 census: Michael V. Witkowski ( GJZJ-3JZ ), born about 1943 in New York and living with his parents at 20 Montclair Ave., Nutley, New Jersey. This census dated 8 April 1950, and a telephone directory listing from 1960 showing him as a student living at his parent's home is all I have. On that telephone listing his father Edward Frank Witkowski is listed as: radio eng, IT&T Corp, F Division. I only meet uncle Edward once, as my father was a Navy pilot and we moved every 3 years. Uncle Ed took me to his basement and had wall to wall radio equipment (this was about 1964). He was a ham operator with a 30 foot antennae to side of his house and post cards from other ham operators around the world. I don't remember ever meeting his wife or a son. My uncle Joe was killed in a kamikaze attack on his destroyer in WW2 and uncle Henry never married. Any help finding him or any descendants would be very appreciated.
