Brick wall
Hi, my name is Sebastian, and my mother is part Irish and maybe Scottish. My great-grandmother, Mary Millares Quinn was half European and half Filipino. Her father was Thomas Quinn.
The Father
Thomas’ father is very much a mystery. We know he either lived in Ohio or Iowa, my grandmother does not know which state he lived in. He did not approve the marriage Thomas had with Ramona, and told him to divorce Ramona because she was Asian. Nothing else is known but he was alive after the 1920s, because he had given my great-grandmother a pen in 6th grade.
Thomas’ Life
Thomas was born in the United States, Thomas lived in San Rafael, Marin, California. He married Ramona Millares around 1915, when he was stationed in the Philippines for military service, and had two children; Mary and Thomas Jr.
The Divorce
Thomas’ father was not very happy with the marriage with an Asian person, so Thomas had to divorce, and leave the family. Thomas moved back to San Rafael and died when Mary was 16, that means 1931 or 1932. Ramona stayed in the Philippines, most likely in the Albay Region.
Thomas Jr.’s Life
Junior did not have a very long life. He was only around 20 when he died. Junior had once visited San Rafael in his early years. Nothing else is known about his life other than, he later served in 1942, and died in Camp O’Donnell in Tarlac of disease. My grandmother has a picture of Thomas Junior, once we find it, I will give the picture to you guys.
Thank you for the help!

@SebastianHumrick Can you please give more information on what it is that you need us to help with, Thomas Sr or Thomas Jr . This may be more suited for the WESTERN UNITED STATES RESEARCH group where there are records for California since neither Thomas’ are Irish.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind Regards,
Shannon

I may need help with Thomas Sr. He definitely was Irish, since my uncle’s DNA test on Ancestry said that his family lived in Munster, Ireland

@SebastianHumrick Thank you for clarifying where you are needing help. Can you give us a little more information on the family that lived in Muster, Ireland as this can be helpful in locating information on Thomas Sr. Family History research is such a puzzle and when all the pieces are put together we can find more direction to be able to go to locate the ancestor we are seeking.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind Regards,
Shannon
