This isn't the right group for your question. This one is focused on feedback about the new person page (software update). I'm not sure which group here would work (I've only poked around in this one) but if you're on Facebook there are several groups you may find useful.

Firstly, you need to compare the details / sources attached to all three IDs for a John Jordan that have been added as representing the son of Winter. The 1850 census record attached to 9KGS-3RD appears to show this John (a farmer) as the son of Winter, although no relationship (i.e. "son") actually appears on the record. I have seen similar instances where the younger person transpires to be a nephew.
LVZC-3LY appears to be meant to represent a John Jordan born around 1815 at New Brunswick, Canada and died 1873 Eastport, Washington, Maine. His wife (from sources attached) appears as Jemima Nightingale, but there are census sources for a John Jordan of very similar identity, but with a wife SARAH. (See https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MDH2-D4T?treeref=LVZC-3LY, for example, which I just detached from a Nathaniel Jordan - and the page at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/141627551/john-jordan ).
LC8X-D23 has sources relating to a John R Jordan and John W Jordan. I have not had time to see if these all relate to the same individual, however.
You should really first carefully examine all three of these profiles, detach any sources that are not applicable to them and try to identify if there are three completely different individuals involved - one born in Canada and the other two in Maine.
Specifically regarding John LVZC-3LY, I wonder why "Captain John" and whether the John about whom you are raising the question might (as suggested) simply be a nephew of Winter, which would explain him not being shown as his son in the Rev. Robert Jordan's book?
I believe there is quite a lot of untangling and detaching of relationships involved before you can get to the true facts about the "Jordans". Be prepared to spend quite a lot of your time on this, especially if you have an interest in the wider JORDAN family branch(es), rather than just examining this one "relationship".
