Meaning of a cross in burial records
My ancestor, Margarita van der Eik is in this record of deaths: https://www.allegroningers.nl/zoeken-op-naam/persons?ss=%7B%22q%22:%22van%20eik%22%7D&sort=%7B%22order_i_datum%22:%22asc%22%7D
I noticed that some of the entries have a "cross" by them, while others don't. Can you tell me why some do and some don't?
Thank you!

On that page there are 3 icons to the left above corner, at least one of them will show the txt " Datum van de laatste sacramenten" , so this basically means that the mentioned person received the last rites, and so a priest was present in the last days to do the....etc,.. but keep in mind the date mentioned is the day of the ointment_NOT the day of dying , in your ancestors case, the day of sacraments would be the 5th of Sept, and in the scribe's interpretation the actual dying day would be the 12th...as is shown when the mentioned icon is used.
