New Orleans Immigration Question
I am looking for my great-great grandfather, John George Wiser's, parents. I have his naturalization papers saying he was born in 1822 in Bavaria (which I knew) and that he came to the US through New Orleans in June 1833, which would make him eleven. His parents most likely were with him, but I can't find them. I have searched ship records and haven't been able to find him. Where should I look next?

Marriage records may have parents’ names. You also can look for him and them in baptism records. You have a birth date that should help. I would also recommend looking in the trees on family Search, here is a person that is a little like your John. Maybe some of what I said will help. Please let us know how it goes.

I forgot to say l would go back to the ship records and look to see what information there is . Like age, were there a 2 with the name? if you find out there is a 2 that may be the head of the family only. then look for rooms in the area the ship landed. as well as wagon trans railroad and Stage if you can find them.

This info you put on here is my great great grandfather. I don't think this father he is connected to is correct. I have not been able to find him (John) on a ship record and his naturalization paper does not have his parents' names, which is a bummer! No city where he is from either. Only Bavaria.

@Angela Danielson I went in and looked at the records that @MikeLongSr had put on. One thing you might want to do is contact Danielson, Wenonah Claire on his profile on FamilySearch.
She states that John George Wiser is her great grandfather. She lists this under the sources on his name on FamilySearch. You can message her from there and ask her more questions. I didn't see any information stating that John George Wiser's father died in the US or even traveled here. I can see how you feel the father listed may not be his. I think I would start with Wenonah and see what documentation she has connected to John George and Johann George. Perhaps, she has information that might help you to start with.
Let us know what you find.
Kind Regards,
Shannon

Sorry for the late response. I have been out of state for the last few days. Thanks for keeping this site updated. As you can see, others have good ideas, Shannon Wilcox gave some excellent views. I can't think of any more ideas at this point. Please keep up looking and post any other information you would like to share or need help with.
