West of what? Asia?

May as well just call it what it appears to be: Continental Europe. Which is a pretty useless categorization, seeing as how it covers thousands of different jurisdictions and dozens of different languages.

At this rate, we're going to end up with a single forum for questions about the entire planet.

I can understand the desire to consolidate, particularly since the empire has been gone for 100 years, and we do get questions about more recent records, but I agree with you that the countries of that former empire share a different ethos than Germany, France, or any of the other larger European countries. Sad to see in a lot of respects.
