Fojtek-Foitek
My great grandmother, Johanna Fojtek, came to Texas in 1883. The records indicate she came with family but, I cannot find any information on her family. Her birth day was May 27, 1862. She was born in Moravia, Austria is also listed. She married Jan (John) Gurecky on September 30, 1884 in Fayette County Texas.
I have hit a brick wall with find any more information prior to her coming to Texas.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you.

@Andrea_in_Texas . This information comes from the Texas Death Certificate for Mrs. John Gorechy, Sr. The image of the death certificate can be found on Ancestry.com, collection titled: Texas, U.S. Death Certificates, 1903-1982.
The informant is August Gorechy. He did not know the names of her parents. Do you think he knew the birthplace?

August was her son. He may have known. I will go look at the birth certificate. Thank you for you help. If you run across anything new, please let me know.
