Ordinance Requests on New Person Page Still Has Limitations
I have submitted this request several times and continue to look for updates. When requesting ordinances for JUST one ordinance (such as sealing to parents or spouse), if the endowment ordinance has previously been requested, I must also request the endowment (on the New Person Page, even though I don't want to request that ordinance). I repeatedly have to go back to the Old Person Page to choose JUST the sealing ordinance because the option is only available there. I hope I am conveying this correctly. I will attach screenshots from both pages so that my suggestion will hopefully be understood. I am a little baffled as to why this is possible on the Old Person Page, but not on the New Person Page. Thank you for helping with this!

We are in the middle of updating the reserve ordinance workflow. This will be resolved with those changes. You should see this updated in the next couple of weeks.

@lyleblunttoronto1 there still seems to be some limitations when requesting temple work for a single ordinance (I.e. sealing to spouse) when all other ordinances have been previously requested. I thought it was corrected, but I've recently discovered that it is not. I continue to have to return to the Old Person Page to request a single ordinance and uncheck those that I don't want. Is there any time frame as to when this will be completely corrected? On the New Person Page, unchecking (or checking) one ordinance continues to automatically check or uncheck many of the unwanted ordinances. Thanks for your help!

If the ordinances prior to the ordinance you are wanting to request are available to request, you need to take all the ordinances. For example, if someone has shared B,C,I,E with the shared temple list and you want to reserve the SP, you will also need to reserve and complete the B,C,I,E before you can complete the SP. Or lets say that B,C,I,E,SP are all available to reserve. And you only want E. You have to take B,C,I in addition to E.
There is no need to find ordinances within the Tree and share them to the shared temple file. The temple software and Ordinances Ready can find ordinances in the Tree.

See also this Help Center article: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-request-or-reserve-temple-ordinances Note in the steps for the website and the mobile app it indicates that: "You must request all of the ordinances."

@Amy Archibald Thanks so much for your thoughtful response to my question. I will be interested to hear what @lyleblunttoronto1 has to say regarding the development of this workflow. The New Person Page continues to change and improve over time!

While it is true that Ordinances Ready will find individuals who have green temple icons that have not been shared with the temple and so technically there is no need to search for them, reserve them, and share them with the temple, that is the sixth category where Ordinances Ready looks which means it could be decades for them to be found. So there can be some utility in finding those and sharing them with the temple.
I did go ahead and play around a bit and found that there is a pretty straightforward work around to sharing with the temple in the situation illustrated in the top image in the new Person pages.
- Click Request either at the top of the page or next to Sealing to parents.
- In the pop up that opens, which does look different now than it does above but still requires one to select all ordinances prior to the one actually being requested, click request.
- Go to My Reservations list.
- Click the check box before the name and share with the temple. Note that only the ordinances not previously shared with the temple will move to your Shared With Temple list. Any 120-day ordinances will remain on your My Reservations list.
- Click on the check box before the name a second time and Unreserve. The 120-day ordinances will return to the temple list but the newly shared with the temple name will remain on your Shared With Temple list.
This adds just two quick clicks to the process.

@Gordon Collett thank you so much for researching an alternative way of requesting single ordinances. I really appreciate the specific steps you've outlined above. So nice of you to figure a work-around for me and others! I'm hopeful that the development team will continue to look for ways to implement this feature because as you say, those folks waiting for temple ordinances may need to wait decades longer to be found if relying solely on the computer to generate their names. Since they are my family members, my desire is heartfelt in assisting them to receive these sacred ordinances as quickly as possible. That purpose is at the root of family history work!

Now that the ordinance flow has this first updated. We'll take a closer look at all the permutations of a person’s ordinance status and see if we can get the kinks worked out.

@lyleblunttoronto1 I'm still checking to see if the kinks have been worked out, but the New Person Page appears to still have the same limitations. I have been reverting to the Old Person Page to request and share single ordinances, but now that option has disappeared. Do you know if this feature is going to be added to FT? To be able to request, reserve and then share single ordinances still waiting to be done .... rather than the entire list?

Yes, there is still work to be done to fix this issue. Only a partial fix was put in place. I'll see what we can do.
