Do you enter the name with or without the accents (umlats)?

Female maiden names with or without ova endings?

I want to help the hints algorithms and the OCR do their job. And I want to do so consistently.

The search and hints algorithms ignore diacritics. I generally use them on everyone except American immigrants who I know to have dropped them.

I would treat -ova the same as I do -in on German feminine names, which is to say, I'd drop it. The algorithms are Anglo-centric enough that having a different ending on a daughter's or wife's name can confuse them, sometimes.
