You may have noticed a change in access to the Family History Activity Report the past few weeks. The FamilySearch blog recently posted an update with the changes and the reason behind it so you can stay in the loop!

I am our Ward Temple and Family History Leader. i have read the blog information and think it is a great idea. I agree that we should access information through our line of authority. This may help our priesthood leaders get better at magnifying their callings.
However the system is not working for me. Because I have a Stake Calling in the Family History Center I had access to the stake report, which is now denied, but my ward link does not work. Can you look into it?

Hi Brother Atkinson, can you check with the ward Clerk if you are in the system as the Temple and Family History Leader?

I am also denied access to the FHAR. I am also a Stake T&FHC Lead and am listed on lds.org as such. Who can I call in SLC about getting access? It is a real pain to not be access this information and work with the other Stake & ward T&FHCs that we support.

I am listed as the Ward Temple and Family History Leader.

I just talked to an Elder Belnap at FamilySearch. He said that we should talk to our HC rep over T&FH, who can then talk to the Area Rep over T&FH. I did email both of mine. He said that he suspected that there may be a change coming. He also mentioned that there are some changes coming in training Stake T&FHCs.

That is a defunct calling name. (Stake Temple and Family History Consultant - Lead) The High Counselor over TFH is the family history leader for the stake now.

I just read about this. It's actually up to the stake who the stake lead is. It doesn't necessarily have to be the highcounselman.

The calling suffix - lead is gone. A stake can organize the work of Family History however they like, but there is a High Counselor with the responsibility for Temple and Family History. This flexibility will work better for the church across the world.
