Help understanding general meaning of contract and potential family relationship included in it.
I have been actively researching my direct ancestor Konrad Laubenstein of Kolonia Pęcławice, Staszów, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Poland. I have received this contract which is written in Russian and seems to name a potential son, Wojciech (Albert perhaps) Laubenstein in a transaction occurring in 1883. There are several pages in the contract and I do not need it translated at this point. I am wondering if there is someone who could read through it and give me some idea as to it's purpose and whether it does in fact seem to indicate Wojciech is the son of my ancestor. I don't have a son with that name in any other record. The church record for this family are in the Sielec evang. parish outside of Staszow but are not available until the year 1875, so births deaths and marriages for these people have only been derived from activities in later years. Thank you for whatever you are able to share about this contract.
Best regards,
Susanne

Hello Susanne,
here is a shortened summary of 4 pages:
1883 feb 03 before myself, Gustav Petrovich (son of Peter) Twardzicki, notary of Sandomir, located in Sandomir uezd, Radom gubernia, Stashov town, building #27 appeared unknown to me people who named themselves as
1) Wojceh Konradovich (son of Konrad) Laubenstein 2) Genrih (Heinrich) Pavlovich (son of Paul) Schmidt living in 1) Penclav Kolonia 2) Oglendov?
in the company of witnesses known to me Kacir? Florianovich (son of Florian) Stefanskiy and Michal Isaakovich (son of Isaac) Fiber (Biber?) citizens of Stashov.
Wojceh Laubenstein announced that he owns the homestead in Penclav Kolonia and wants to sell it entirely to Mr Schmidt for 1300 roubles
Next are details on the deal, at paragraph 4 it suddenly interrupts on "Heinrich Schmidt announced that" and what follows (page 42) is a new document which is the permission from Oglendov council for Heinrich Schmidt to purchase property in Kolonia.
There are a lot of names of those who signed this document but since they are from Oglendov and you are more interested in seller I would guess it does not matter much for now.
Hope this helps
Igor.

Hello Susanne,
No, unfortunately it doesn't, there is a plot area given in units that I've not seen before (21 morg 85 prent) It looks like two different measures of the same area, i.e.21 morg or 85 prent. A prent (pręt) seems to be around 4.32 meters and depending on how far the area goes, there could be a different number of morgs. A morg is "an area which a single person could cut all the grass or mow on in one morning" and depending on the location 1 morg could be from 0.5 to 2.5 hectares, 85 morg then is a large field. 1300 roubles was also a lot back then.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgen#Poland
When it comes to location, all that is given is the "Penclav Kolonia" ("Пенцлавская Колония") village and also twice it is said that this plot and buildings on it are listed as #3 in "liquidation registry" (ликвидационый табель) which seems to be a document listing all peasant property owner since abolishment of serfdom in 1860s.
Igor.
