Most children like flags. Discovering the flags of the countries our ancestors came from can be a fun way to begin a lifelong interest in family history.

My twin nieces love to bake and most children like to eat, so involving them in cooking or baking a family recipe or even an ancestral homeland-centered meal can be a win-win.
