Sorry about that! I kept trying to post the comment, and kept losing my text! I was trying to figure out how to narrow down my search in a year that had 883 pages for the processetti!! So after writing it all down in google docs (so that if I lost it, I could just recopy!), the process gave me insights, and I found the documents among the 883 pages! Yeah!!! Success!!!

Well, there you go. So I looked at the document and it was only two pages and I think it was in Latin. And I got no further. So I'd like to offer up what I'm up against and see if anyone has an idea for me.
Lucia Miscione is my 4th grandmother, and I am trying to find more information about her. She is from Vasto, Italy in the province of Chieti, and everything seems to remain and happen in Vasto. Her father is Filippo Miscione, who died 22 February 1803 (This is according to the marriage record of his son Carlantonio - Marriages, 1818, image # 35 of 192).
I ran across another Filippo Miscione in the marriage records of 1821 (Supplement 2, #18 of 123, ‘Num. di Ordine trentanove’), and I wondered if he were related somehow to my Lucia Miscione. I looked at the Marriage record. His Father is Pasquale Miscione who died in 1817 (#3 of 518, supplement 3) at the age of 66. Then I looked at the Processetti. At first I could find nothing and was overwhelmed and made my first petition on this site (with no words, because somehow they got lost!). Then I found the records in the 'Matrimonio Processetti', image # 464 of 882.

But I cannot understand the Latin, and do not see any clues. I think I just need to go to Vasto in person, and maybe look at church records to see who the Filippo who's Lucia's father is, and who his parents, siblings, etc. are. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thank You!!! :)

To answer your general question, if you look at the date on the marriage certificate, subtract about a month from that given the banns had to be read for a couple weeks consecutively and the time in procuring documents from the churches/civil registries. This means you might be looking at a previous year's process records. Then, if you're searching for records from September, for example, that would be ¾ through the year, so you could start around image 660. A lot of times, the records are separated by a page for each couple, so, if you're in a multi-photo view, you can jump to those ones until you hit your target.

This is super helpful !! I had given up on getting more information from this processetti, thinking that only 2 pages related to Filippo and his fiance. I was clearly wrong! I am very excited about the additional information. I'm going to look at 'Image 488 (death of the groom's ex-wife) in 1817' to see if there is any additional useful information. I will also look at 'Image 486 (death of the mother of the groom) in 1814'. Thank you! This is a big deal to me, and I am excited about the tips!

No, you have to look at the process records. They are a trove of data. It's tedious to pour over them, but the tradeoff is worth it.
