Is it wise to post your queries here?
I believe it is probably for the best if this group was now closed down. Those with Family Tree queries would do far better in getting a response from posting at https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/family-tree This section has far more participants and deals with exactly the same issues that would otherwise find their way here.

The point of my post (and a similar one at https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/discussions/60-family-history-research/p2) is that I see no reason to maintain these groups any longer. These groups are used quite infrequently, so a member of the Community forum is far more likely to get a response from posting - in this case - at https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/family-tree.
Other groups have been wound-up since the Community platform was revised, so I see little purpose in confusing FamilySearch users by having two categories to cover issues on the same subject.

@Paul W, I agree totally, unnecessary group. That was my point, the all the time I've been on Communities I only just now came across this group. And I think it should be "closed" in the ability for anyone to post here.
