Why did mom go to the poorhouse when her son is right there?

Questions, Questions---

Petter Nilson & Sissela Pehrsdotter lived in Södra Hultarp No. 3, Hallaröd parish, Malmöhus from 1842 and on. Petter died in 1871 while living there, and Sissela lived there until 1878. But, then she was in the Hallaröd parish Fattighus from 1878 to 1887, where she died.

Their son Ola Pettersson Frid and his family lived in Södra Hultarp No.3 from at least 1856 to 1903 when he died. He is listed a page or two away from Sissela's name, in the household register records, for 1871 – 1876 and 1877 to 1885.

Question #1: with Ola right there in the same house or farm, why did his mom Sissela go to the fattighus-- the poorhouse-- instead of live in his house?

Is there something I don't understand about the records and the words?

Question #2: Is Södra Hultarp No. 3 one house or several houses at one farm?

Question #3: Are the fraction-looking numbers (like Södra Hultarp No 3 5/8) an ID of the house or the farm or the mantal . . . . ?

Fattighus back then was like old Peoples home, When people got old and could not provied for them self and maybe the family either could provid for them, they moved to Fattighuset.

Södra Hultarp nr3, are several diffrent farms. If you look att the records you can see that its divided in diffrent familys. thats why also for example Södra Hultarp nr 3 5/8 as it indicate the diffrent households
