Searching to find records for Gerulis family in Vishintsy Parish in city of Viesintos, Lithuania
Hello, I just received the translation of the marriage record of my great grandfather's brother. We have been searching
for where the family was from. Are there records available that might help us to learn if the family was established in Vishintsy Parish? I tried to draw out a pedigree chart and hope the names and places are spelled correctly as Lithuanians. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help. (A lot!)

Hi Judith!
The record provides some information about the groom: directly translated, it says he is a Viklkomirski (adjectival form of the city Vilkomir - now modern day Ukmerge, Lithuania) petty bourgeois (this is his social estate), bachelor, age 27 of the city of Dynaberg, Dynaberg parish (this is now modern day Daugavpils, Latvia).
As for the bride, it says she is of the parish in Viesintos. I'm guessing she and her family were established in this parish. It's common for a man to marry a woman in her home parish rather than the other way around.
It doesn't indicate if the groom was from Daugavpils, or just had resided there previously, but it is worth looking into. There are some Roman Catholic records from Daugavpils available online (see: https://raduraksti.arhivi.lv/collections/1:4:15:2054:2273), but they are only for the early 1900s. I will see if I can find some earlier ones for you.
