How can we find more ancestors

Hi All,

I would like to ask if any of you could share how to find more ancestors before 1700s. I try to find on familyseach, ancestry, my heritage, findmypast websites, I can’t find ancestors’ parents on theses websites, is there any other way to find further ancestors back to before 1800s or 1700s?

Consultation is a great suggestion. You can also use the FamilySearch Wiki to find out what records are available for the area you are searching for. It also has some date ranges for records.
