When can someone help?
I've posted a few questions regarding translations over the past two weeks. I haven't seen any activity on this page since the beginning of the month. Is there anyone available to help with translations in this group?

Adolph Koenig stated on a consular registration application that he was born in Popilaw, Russia on December 24, 1854. Can you help me find this town and what records I need to search? His Family Search ID number is G45W-35K. Thank you for your help.

From looking at some of the sources attached to his tree, I'm guessing Adolph Koenig came from Russian Poland. One of my favorite gazetteers for this area is this one here: https://www.sbc.org.pl/dlibra/show-content/publication/edition/10795?id=10795.
In the "P" section, there are a few entries similar to Popilaw (it's on image 75). Have you found names of towns in any other documents in your research? If so, we might be able to look up those town names and see if there is anything similar to Popilaw located nearby.
