In the genealogy community, there are abundant records, photos, and stories that need to be brought to light so that we can all benefit from them. Grassroots efforts are helpful to add to the records available to us. Connecting with people who have similar interests helps bring these records to others. In this session, the panel will discuss ways that you can get involved in community genealogy projects. The panel will discuss inspiring projects in their communities, gathering stories, and connecting and adding historical context to records. The panel will also provide practical tips for organizing and participating in such projects and answer questions you may have on how to get involved or bring your own idea to life!
