Access to FHL Roll - Way to Determine Partner Site That Controls Access?
Good afternoon,
I am researching my German ancestor whose baptism in 1806 appears to be located on FHL Roll 809906 [Evangelische Kirche Horn (AG. Horn, Lippe)]. When I am at my local FamilySearch Affiliate Library, I still cannot access this film and receive this message:
- To view these images do one of the following:You may be able to view this image by visiting one of our partners' sites or the legal record custodian (fees may apply).
Is there a way to determine the appropriate site or repository to retrieve this information through FamilySearch? I thought I would check before contacting the local repositories in Germany or searching other genealogical sites.
Kind Regards,
John

The message you see is an euphemism: the real meaning is that only members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormons or LDS) can view the film.
In this case, the records are probably online at archion.de This is a subscription website, and naturally they do not want people using FamilySearch to bypass those fees, hence the restricted access. However an exception has been made for LDS members.

Thank you for the info. Do you think the local FHC would have access to the images?
