Marriage Records Translation help - German and Latin - 1641, Hessen
I have three short records on the same page that appear to all be related to the marriage of Seibert Grein and Catharina Stumpf in 1641 in Holzburg, Ziegenhain, Cassel, Hessen-Nassau, Germany.
All three entries are on the left page starting at the third line for the first entry:
"de 7 Augusti Sposalia Siebert Grein
zu Holtzburg [??] der [Tehenntsame??] frau Catha
rina Stumpffin von [he????hach?] anno 1641"
Second entry 4 lines down:
"[??dem?] 24 t Augusti anno 1641
Seybert Grein celebravit nuptias [patin?]
Stumpffin [?relicta??] [?eÿd?t?] [be????]"
Third entry next line:
"den 10 t octobris ist Sybert Grein hausfrau
zu? [crheb??sch?ff?] [sestanden?] zu ohm??s?]"
If I understand these entries correctly the first is the engagement of Seibert/Siebert to Catharina Stumpff and the second the marriage, but I don't understand the third entry at all.
Other researchers have given 7 August 1641 as the marriage date, but I believe it was 24 August 1641. Catharina Stumpff is supposedly from the town of Greifenhain. Other researchers list Holzburg, Schrecksbach as the place for these records. According to Meyers the place is Holzburg, Ziegenhain, Cassel, Hessen-Nassau.
Any help would be much appreciated.
