More information would help (e.g. Familysearch I.D., dates and places). Then I can look at the full record.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG8J-5KQ1. Marriage of Soren Hansen to Marie Jensdatter. I am trying to find the names of Soren Hansen's parents. I was hoping to was on this document. Can a child be 14 years old for a confirmation? I found a confirmation .document https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG8K-8T3Z thank you.

As I understand and from experience, yes children were confirmed at age 14 and older.

I just got started but have some observations. The marriage reference reads to me Iver Hansen's widow (Enke). I haven't pinpointed the name but in the 1840 and 1845 censuses there is a servant named Søren Hansen in a household of Karen Marie Rasmusdatter whose son is named Hans Iversen. From the patronymic the husband would be named "Iver". He appears to be deceased. So my guess is at the marriage it was Karen Marie Rasmusdatter, Iver Hansen's widow recorded in the record.
The 1860 census lists Søren Hansen's birth place as Stouby parish. I don't believe he is Søren Hansen Broch born in Hatting. Looks like Familysearch ID G6MC-TN5 is the family you are working on.
I looked briefly in the Stouby parish records for 1810 and Soren Hansen. I found one possibility christened 23 April 1810 to Hans Sorensen and Bodil Sørensdatter. It was not an exhaustive search yet, but would align with the 1860 and 1845 censuses for place of birth. It maybe that Søren Hansen's parents had died prior to the marriage so were not in attendance. The marriage record has him a bachelor age 43 which could support that theory.

Update: Located a confirmation record in the Stouby parish for Søren Hansen in 1824 listing his parents as Hans Sørensen and Bodil Sørensdatter. Lists Soren's birth as 9 March 1810 which aligns with a christening of 23 April from the christening register.

As an introduction, I use two primary online tools. For census there are digitized and translated searchable records in a Danish Demographical Database. Sometimes searches can be tricky. I don't know how to be successful for census records later than about 1880, but for back to 1787 I have success. With practice I picked up on some quirks like when I Input a woman's name I don't include the "datter". With some names like Soren the danish character for "o", ø is needed. Another challenge for me has been Anne, Anna, or Ane. Some searches are trial by error.
The other database, "Arkivalieronline" has church parish records, military and probate records. I have only been able to use the parish records effectively. This is the database where I found Søren Hansen's christening record. This is more labor intensive as it isn't digitized and requires searching an electronic copy of the written records.
Both can be accessed from Familysearch or google search. I will try adding some direct links.

Below is the christening/birth record. Source: Stouby, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark Parish register 1790-1814 (Arkivalieronline.dk): image 62, year 1810, digital image
I don't try to read every word. My limited translation would be: 23 April christened Hans Sørensen and Bodil Sørensdatter child Søren of [place I cannot read] born 9 March/carried of Johanne Sørensdatter of Grund. Sponsors were .......[names and places of witnesses] Karen Sørensdatter of Stouby.
The confirmation establishes that he lived past age 8 and confirms parents and birth date.
Parents marriage: Stouby, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark Parish register 1790-1814 (Arkivalieronline.dk): image 57, year 1807, digital image
Translation: 17 October widower Hans Sørensen of Stouby and maid Bodil Sørensdatter [corrected] of (place I could not identify)
This suggests you may want to find the widow of Hans Sørensen also.
The place I could not read doesn't appear to be in the Stouby parish place name list that can be found on the Familysearch wiki site. Maybe Bodil is from another parish. I haven't found a gazetteer that I could figure out.
Links to these sites will get you to the sites but it takes experience to navigate where to go.

I was scanning the 1810 Stouby parish record to make sure there was not another Søren Hansen and stubbled on a burial record for Hans Sørensen the same year as Sørens birth.
A little hard to read but looks like: 17 August buried Hans Sørensen of (the same place I can't identify) death the 10th 53 years (might be 63)
The age kind of looks like 63 but other identifiable 6's on the page look different.

Thank you for this information. I screened shot it on my tablet. I have never tried zoom. I have only Facebook messenger to talk to people here in Ontario Canada. I will try zoom out and get some experience before contacting you. I don't want to waste your time while I struggle learning. Thanks again. Nancy

I would send you a link and passcode you could use on your tablet. I think all you have to do is down load the ZOOM app first. Are you doing Familysearch on your tablet? Let me know when you want to try it.

After some review, I don't think the Hans Sørensen buried in 1810 is your ancestor. There was another Hans Sorensen in the census records that matches the age better. Oddly in the 1787 census there is a Hans Sørensen at the same household as a Bodil Sørensdatter. Maybe that is how they met (speculation)

Hi dwhull, I did manager to go through the Arkivalieronline site you posted to see Soren Hansen birth 1810 and the marriage document of Hans Sorensen and Bodild Sorensdatter. I still have to find his confirmation that you found. I tried to use the Dansk demografisk database census link you posted but I couldn't get it to work to find this 1787 census. I will keep trying till I learn how. Thanks again for your help I would of never found this information. If all else fails for me I will take you up with your offer of a zoom with you. Nancy

Below appears to be a daughter (Mariane) of Hans Sørensen and Bodil Sørensdatter (image #60 - 1808). Born 26 October. The christening appears to be 11 December 1807 same day as the record above.
F31 Same day baptized Hans Sorensen and Bodild Sørensdatter of [that place] [child] Mariane born 26 October
The place I believe is within the Stouby parish. I believe the first two letters are "Sk" based on other words found that look similar. This place is found in the list of Stouby parish places where confirmations are listed along with other readable place names like Hyrup. I haven't uncovered the other letters yet.
I may be back to believing Hans dies in 1810. A quick scan did not identify any other children although it is possible they went somewhere else. The 1810 burial record for Hans lists him as from the unknown place Sk____). I have scanned for Bodil in Stouby, but the records get very hard to read between 1773 and 1777. I was looking then based on the 1801 and 1787 census showing a Bodil Sørensdatter age 14 and 24 respectively.

I think the place may be "Skoven" but I haven't found it on a map or list in Vejle.

Looks like "Skoven" is a land register number (whatever that is) in Stouby parish. The Hans below would be too old. But this entry confirms the place I believe.

Update:
My best conclusion is the Hans Sørensen shown below may be your ancestor. This mans wife, Mariane Christensdatter, is buried not long after the census (10 September 1801) making him a widower to align with the marriage to Bodil Sørensdatter in 1807. Maybe a coincidence but we found Hans and Bodil's first child is Mariane. If the age is close Hans birth would be about 1756 which would also align with being about 53 years old in 1810 at his burial (age 53 in 1810 would put the birth about 1757).
I located a possible christening of a Hans Sørensen in 1758 shown below.
It is difficult to read and the father's first name is spelled a different way. I'm not sure what the sir name is. It may not be a patronymic name. My translation is: Dominica IV past Trinitatis: baptized Søfren _________ child of Stouby called Hans.... Figuring out the real Surname will take time.
I also found a Bodild Sørensdatter christened in 1771. My translation would be: Dominica 1 past Epiphany baptized Søren Jorgensen child of Skoven called Bodild......

Wow Thanks dwhull. I will try to find this information that you found. How did you read that black messy scribble. Lol I signed up for the free learning sessions. I have done the first 3 beginners. You are very welcome. If you would like I can send you the image numbers and Arkivalieronline references. Let me know when you are ready and would like to see what else can be found.

I peeked at your sources and am confused by the listings of Hornum parish rather than Stouby. Some of the Arkivalieronline records do overlap the two parishes but I didn't observe Hornum in the records I pointed you to.

A glance at Hans Sørensen's christening, I amend his father's name spelling. A "p" from the line above made it look like an "f". Now I think it is spelled "Sørren". I have seen that spelling a number of times in the Vejle records.

Surprise. See below, didn't see this before when searching the census. Looks like this may have Bodil's mother identified.

Unfortunately, looks like there are multiple possible options of Bodil Sørensdatter's who would be of age. Probably need more investigation.
