In your experience, is there any correlation between the title "bachelor" and the man's age?

I've seen records that include the occupation of an unmarried man without mentioning his marital status, so I'm wondering if it's just the scribe's preference, or if "bachelor" might mean something about the man's age or his dependence on his parents.

I think it was the scribe's preference to identify the baptismal sponsors as either married or single. As a bachelor, the man could still be living with his parents and he also could be perfecting his craft, and yes, he would probably tend to be younger and still getting established in life.
