Underlining of names in Confirmation records
Anyone know why the children of 2 brothers would have their names underlined in their confirmation records over the course of 10 years?

Typically names are underlined in records to indicate that this is the principal person the record is about.
Sometimes, underlining is added at a later date to make it easier to find the name of the principal in the record.

Would you assume someone was working on that particular family so went thru and underlined them for that reason? These were confirmation records between 1731-1744 in Leinsweiler, Bayern. Does that help in an assumption?
