Laetare, Baden?
I have an ancestor supposedly born in Laetare in 1706, but it does not come up on Meyers Gaz or Google. She was married in Michelfeld, Norbaden in 1728, which I easily locate, but not her birthplace of Laetare. I have searched the F.S. catalog and throughout the Internet for possible variations and studied the historical and modern maps, but I have nothing that's even close to that.
Any suggestions?

"Laetare" is the name of a sunday in the church year: the sunday three weeks before Easter.
So it may be that what you interpret as a location is actually the date of birth or baptism.

Thank you. I have not seen the original source, but I bet you are right that it was originally mis-read. I imagine it got misinterpreted and then passed along through the family incorrectly. I will search her birth in Michelfeld to verify.
